Process analysis – How to write an essay

Learning how to write an essay can be a frustrating process. However, knowing the steps and understand what must be done may help a lot, that is, having some knowledge about this will make everything easier. This is why the next piece of writing will be all about how to create an essay.

In order to create an essay the followings steps must be followed:

First of all, start researching about the chosen topic. In order to get the information needed, which can be gathered from different sources, the commonest are: the internet, libraries or any other mean of information. Secondly, now that the data has been collected what you need to do is to start analyzing it, looking for arguments and identify them. An argument consists of two main components: a claim, and reasons for that claim. Next brainstorming technique can be used in order to find an original idea. Then when you have done the 3 steps before mentioned you must create the thesis, but when creating the thesis you must make an arguable assertion, otherwise, it would not be a thesis but a fact. Also you need to use an outline to plan and organize your ideas. The following step to follow is to make or create the introduction in which you have to grab the reader’s attention. Here you can use some of the following: an interesting fact, a surprising piece of information or an exciting quotation. Then you have to choose a singular focus and every paragraph must have the same singular focus. Finally, you have to make a conclusion in which you have to recap your ideas in a clear, summarizing manner. However, if you only recap your ideas your conclusion would be flat and boring. It is better to make a graceful impression from your essay by leaving a memorable impression on the reader. In order to do this you will need one of the following: giving a thought-provoking quotation, talking about consequences\implications or explaining why the topic is important.
